The Singapore Airlines Boeing 777-300ER flight had taken off from London. One and a half hour after takeoff, air turbulence occurred at about 30 thousand feet. The flight started shaking rapidly. Due to turbulence that lasted for some time, the flight was diverted towards Bangkok. The flight made an emergency landing at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport at 3.45 pm. By then one passenger had died.

Emergency landing due to turbulence

The flight from London to Singapore was carrying 211 passengers and 18 crew members. The flight was scheduled to land at Singapore's Changi Airport at 6.10 pm. However, due to turbulence, the flight made an emergency landing. Immediately after the landing of the plane, many ambulance vehicles also reached the airport. The injured people were admitted to a hospital for treatment. Singapore Airlines has expressed condolences to the family of the deceased passenger.

The airlines said that all possible assistance is being provided to all the passengers and crew members on board the flight. All are working with local authorities in Thailand to provide medical care to the injured. Not only this, we are also sending one of our teams to Bangkok.

The passengers of the plane were later flown to Bengaluru in another flight.

News agency ANI reported that this incident has been confirmed by the officials of Delhi's Indira Gandhi International Airport. According to the information, Air India flight number AI-807 took off from Delhi Airport for Bengaluru at 5.52 pm. A complete security and technical checkup of the aircraft was done before take-off. No fault was found in the aircraft during checkup.

The plane took off from Delhi Airport on Friday evening with 175 passengers. As soon as the flight took off, the fire signals near the pilot started warning. The pilot turned the plane and informed the air traffic control.

After the pilot informed Air Traffic Control, ATC allowed the plane to make an emergency landing. Also, ATC declared full emergency protocol at Delhi Airport.

Delhi Fire Service officials said that as soon as information about the fire in the plane was received, three fire tenders were dispatched to the spot. He said that we received information from IG Airport at 6.15 pm. We immediately dispatched three fire tenders. However, the flight landed safely and there was no accident.
